The Japan's most long-lived hippopotamus which was in Ishikawa Zoo died.
The name is "large body" means "deka" is called.
At presumed 58 years old, I am equivalent than 100 years old with the human being.
A telegram and a flower reached "deka" from Matsui of Angels Stadium of Anaheim the other day.
Matsui is from Nomi City same as "deka".
Matsui is a "deka" when the same uniform number, 55, and sent a congratulatory message.
When Matsui returned to the hometown, he visited "deka".
The director seems to have been impressed by the telegram sent the other day from Matsui very much.

I am so saddened and heartbroken over the death of Deka the Hippo. Only yesterday, did I watch the program "Long Live Grandma Hippo" and only today did I search the internet and discover the news. I was so touched by Deka and her wonderful trainer of 13 years. What a remarkable life and story of Deka. I am mourning of her death and my condolences go to you, the Ishikawa Zoo and Dekas dedicated and compassionate trainer of 13 years. God Bless you, from Canada

"A parting meeting" seems to have been held in Ishikawa Zoo on September 19, 2010.

I was so very touched by the story Long LIve Grandma Hippo...i just watched it on the Oasis channel...what a beautiful story of such a beautiful animal..and all my heartfelt blessings go to her trainer of more than 13yrs...his tenderness and love towards her were so evident in her care...God Bless...xoxo

The Grandma Hippo "deka" was loved by all and healed all.
After next year, "deka" as the successor, decided that the new Hippo will come.
It is one of the world's three largest rare animal "pygmy hippopotamus", the weight is a one-tenth of a normal Hippo.
Come for a new Hippo in the Ishikawa Zoo is building renovation to Hippo.

Hippo"deka" died, a year has passed.
Was a grandma deka broadcasted with an oasis channel?
Zookeeper men is 17 years so he was taking care of Deca.
The hippo pond now nobody.
There repairs it, and a pygmy hippopotamus is going to live.

These creatures are very rare in the earth and also very difficult to save these creatures. I hope all we can find some more and no matter what type of creature are there we will try to save those.
Lets hope we will do that.

It was only today that we watched Grandma Deka's story. We are told she may have been born in 1953, the year of my birth, possibly because of this I felt an instant connection with her ( and I am also a Large Girl!)What a wonderful gift she was to all her had the opportunity to see her. My heart goes out to her zookeeper who must miss her so. Strange, that even through the power of television she evoked a gentle kindness and loving that created a feeling of tenderness and calm. You have been blessed by her presence.
