Yoshoku restaurant “Jiyuken” in Higashi Chaya district has a history of 100 years.

Wealthy people and Geisha girls were regular customers there when Yoshoku was still not known among Japanese people.
However it was still too expensive for ordinary Japanese people then.


Today’s modern building was built 76 years ago

It was the request from Geisha in the Higashi Chaya district to make this dish. Pork cutlet utilizing low fat fillet, boiled cabbage and fresh slices of cucumber on rice. Pour some worcester sauce located on your table!
